Mark Ress here folks with a short but AWESOME update! There’s good news and bad news so naturally I will start with the bad news.

Bad news is that we lost our game to Oaks Christian this past Friday. It was not a nice defeat but as one of my friends put it “We can not expect to be the best unless we play the best!” I love that he said that because it’s true. Oaks Christian is one of the top schools in the nation when it comes to high school football programs so it’s all good.

Now for the good news. During the game my son JoJo ran a 70 yard kick return which sparked the first and only touchdown for our team but to see him run that ball was AMAZING. I am really proud of my son.

Now on top of that I got to hang a bit with Will Smith, his lovely wife Jada Pinkett Smith and their family after the game. They were some of the NICEST celebs I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. So down to earth and very willing to talk and pose for pictures. I got to walk with them to their car and Jada was so sweet. I had to tell Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith herself how many times I Mark Ress fell in love with her growing up. I named most of her movies and complimented Will on Hancock. But for me the best part of meeting them was getting some pictures of my daughters with them and then me with them.

Who would have ever thought that Mark Ress would get to kick it a little with Will and Jada Smith, talk a little business, walk them to their car and on top of that get pictures documenting it all. So even though we lost my family and I got to hang with Will Smith and his beautiful wife Jada. Here are the pictures we got:

Here’s Mark Ress and Jada Pinkett Smith who was absolutely beautiful and very sweet. She laughed at all of Mark Ress’ jokes and answered his questions about how Will and her stay looking so healthy. Mark Ress got to walk her to their car.

The following two pictures are of my beautiful little girls Isis and Sabrea except for Sabrea was being stubborn and covering her face during both shots. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith said they were so beautiful and were quite patient while Sabrea did not cooperate.

As you can see Sabrea did not cooperate for both pictures but Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith did not seem to mind it at all. We also shot some video of the time we got to spend together. If I get the time to get it ready I will try to upload it but make no promises.

Well I hope you like the pictures and YES Andrea I did mention you to Will Smith. It looks like Mark Ress is not done getting pictures with celebrities and hopefully hooking up with more possible celebrity clients. I did mention to them what I did and that if I can ever be of any service to please do not hesitate to call on me. I would be honored to work on a project for the Smiths’. I do hope to run into them again soon and maybe get them to hook us up to get Isis and Sabrea’s acting career moving a bit quicker. It is taking painfully long but we are thankful that we have our health God bless.

Hey there everyone Mark Ress here trying to catch up and bring my Mark Ress blog up to speed.  I had an amazing time speaking at Toyota Corporation this week. They treated me really well and seemed to really enjoy everything I shared with them. I covered such topics as Social Media Marketing, Social Networking, Video Marketing, Webmercials, Blogging and more. At first they were like “Who is this crazy looking guy named Mark Ress?” but by the time I was done they DEFINITELY knew my name.

There room was practically full with folks there from big wig types (execs) to office personel but mainly their marketing and outreach group heads. I actually ran over on my time but they wanted me to keep going. I told them that I would gladly come back and do another presentation. In less than 24 hours I received an invitation to speak again but at another one of their facilities which is more like their North American corporate headquarters in Torrance California. I am really stoked about that!

I answered several questions and gave them all my contact information in case they had more questions for me and could not wait for me to speak again. They seemed hungry and eager for this “new world” of marketing I introduced them too. They had heard of MySpace and Facebook but when I went down the list of other sites that they needed to be hip to they were speechless. Some with laptops started creating accounts on the spot so that they can begin to leverage these new tools and sites. They were really thankful for the resources I shared with them.

As you can see I had a lot of fun speaking for Toyota corporation. I look forward to speaking again for them in the near future and working with some of their marketing team.

Hello everyone Mark Ress here with another update. I was asked to speak at the City of Fontana’s Chamber of Commerce and it went REALLY well. I blew their minds with showing them how within 5 hours was able to get MULTIPLE top ten listings in Google for various terms. At first they could not believe that this crazy looking guy Mark Ress from the “hood” can “own” Google. Then I showed them evidence and proof. They were stunned. After that they questions came in from the Fontana Chamber of Commerce members. They were very excited to be learning about Social Media Marketing and the service that I could offer them.

Now next week I’ve been asked to speak at a Toyota event which is so cool because now I get to say Mark Ress has spoken for Toyota, worked for Intel Corporation and Fujifilm corporation. This will make me look that much better when it comes to clients seeing what I can do, social proof as well as providing me with credibility. Not that the Fontana Chamber of Commerce needed any of that. They were on board from the very beginning to have me come speak so I wanted to publicly thank them for having me today.  I am pretty sure I will get a consulting gig or two out of them and probably some marketing services work from them. Again the City of Fontana’s Chamber of Commerce were a great bunch.

The other things I have been working on is just my VRE and getting ready for something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’ve been wanting to issue my family and I a challenge to see how many sites we can build and sell within a 7 day period, 10 day period, 15 day period and 30 day period. I am going to document this journey and then reveal the results. That’s if I can get it done without distractions because I always want to do it but I have to commit 30 days straight and have not been able to find the time.
